Hotmilk Takes Sydney

Two days. Three activations. A city that showed up for us in ways we'll never forget.

This July, the Hotmilk team flew to Sydney for Hotmilk's first ever international Evolve PR event — and brought the brand to life in one of Australia's most iconic cities. Here's everything that happened.

On Tuesday 21 July, we sent our beautiful pregnant model Anais Chambers to the streets of

David Jones Elizabeth Street — wearing Hotmilk maternity lingerie, holding signs, and stopping Sydney in its tracks.

The signs said everything: "Psst. We're in David Jones." and "Find us in David Jones. (You're welcome.)" Because the truth is — Hotmilk is stocked across 14 David Jones stores around Australia. And not everyone knows it. This was our way of changing that.

Inside the iconic Level 7 Apartment event space, our founder Lisa sat with Anais for a private founder-led fitting — twenty years of expertise, in person, on camera. The kind of moment that can't be replicated in a product listing.

Wednesday morning. Brava Lingerie, Queen Victoria Building, Sydney. And thirty women walked through the doors for something we'd been building towards for a long time — our first ever international Evolve PR event, and our first ever international Evolve Fitting Experience.

Our founder Lisa shared the story of Hotmilk and Evolve — why we started, where we've been, and why this collection exists for every woman, not just the ones who've been through pregnancy and nursing. Then the Brava fitting experts took over and did what they do best: fitting women properly, in person.

There was a spin wheel. There were goodie bags. There was food and a room full of women having conversations they'd never had before about their bodies, their bras, and what they actually deserve to wear.

Wednesday afternoon, the doors at David Jones Elizabeth Street opened to something entirely

different — private nursing fitting appointments, led personally by our founder Lisa and Sales Manager Steph.

The slots filled before we even left New Zealand. Every appointment was 20–30 minutes. Every woman left with a bra that actually fit, a complimentary goodie bag, and something a little harder to describe — the feeling of having been properly looked after.

This is what twenty years of fit expertise looks like when it meets the real world. And it confirmed something we've always believed: the right bra at the right time changes everything.

Sydney was a milestone. But it's part of something much bigger.

Hotmilk is now stocked at 250+ stockists worldwide — across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In 14 David Jones stores across Australia. In Brava. In specialist lingerie boutiques from Sydney to London to New York. And our Evolve range alone is now stocked at 33 stockists globally — with that number growing.

We started in New Zealand in 2005 with one conviction: that nursing bras should be beautiful. That women going through the most physically transformative time of their lives shouldn't have to choose between function and feeling good. Twenty years later, that conviction has taken us around the world.

Sydney was our first ever international Evolve PR event. Our first international Evolve Fitting Experience. And we can promise you — it won't be our last.
