Growing cup sizes during pregnancy
Posted by Kristin on Oct 22, 2009 09:46 PM

Hi there, I'm normally a full 14DD but now that I'm expecting I'm busting out of my DD bras and have just bought a 14 E cup bra. Is there any way of predicting how many cup sizes I may grow over the next five months? Thanks K

hey kristen mine have also exploded but not quite that big but unfortunatly you cant predict how they will end up. for your breestfeeding bras you can safely buy about 4wks before due date but they still fill out a little when your milk comes in although this will ony be in fullness not really cup size. for my first only went up 1 full size but with this one already up to that so you can never really tell i'm afraid. good luck with your growing bump!!!!

Dear Kristen, I'm not sure...perhaps your Australian cup sizes are a bit different, but here in Canada (and also the U.S too) a 'DD cup' is generally the same as an 'E cup'. Some manufacturers call the first cup size beyond a D cup, a DD and other manufactures call the exact same size an E cup. If your DD cup bras are getting too snug in the cup, perhaps you need to try an an F cup.

Hi there Kristen. Thanks so much for your question - obviously others are in need of some answers too - you have sparked some discussion! I am going to post an article on our website - go to Articles - which will hopefully answer your question. On average however, the expansion of your diaphragm will be about one row of eyes on the band, per month. The average woman goes up two - three bra sizes and two - three band sizes but this is only a guideline. We recommend you get re-fiited when you feel any discomfort. xx
